ARWA Training Class

LCI's are submitted. Now What? Cybersecurity, PFAS, Operator Safety, Jar and TSS testing

We have passed the Lead Service Line Inventory deadline of October 16th, 2024. The next hurdle for some Public Water Systems is notifying customers of Lead, Galvanized Requiring Replacement, or Unknown service lines. Every customer with a service line falling under these materials must be notified within 30 days of the submission. This requirement is of EVERY Public Water System with these materials. Students will experience an in-depth exploration of the unique Cybersecurity challenges faced by critical water infrastructure systems. Presenters will examine potential attack vectors that malicious actors could exploit to disrupt operations or gain unauthorized access to industrial control systems. PFAS are man made chemicals that have been widely used due to their heat, water and stain resistant properties. These chemicals are found in many water sources throughout the world. Students will learn a basic technique for performing a standard jar test and total suspended solids test.
