ARWA Training Class

Operator Safety/ PFAS / Emergency Response/ Cybersecurity/ Asset Management

In this course, the focus will be on tackling the various cybersecurity issues that are prevalent in the water industry. Additionally, you can expect to gain in-depth knowledge of water palnt operator safety and coverage of PFAS regulations and testing, which is of paramount importance in this field. PFAS stands for per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances, which are a group of man-made chemicals that have been used in various industrial and commercial applications. They have been found to persist in the environment and can potentially have harmful effects on human health and the environment. This class will also cover the basic aspects of emergency response including asett management and the importance of having an associated plan.

Treatment Plant Operator Safety

Safety in a water treatment plant is crucial to ensure the health and well-being of both workers and the community. Proper safety measures help prevent contamination, accidents, and chemical exposures that could lead to severe health risks. By prioritizing safety, water treatment plants can maintain high standards of water quality and reliable service, safeguarding public health and the environment.

LCI's submitted. Now What?

We have passed the Lead Service Line Inventory deadline of October 16th, 2024. The next hurdle for some public water systems is notifying customers of Lead, Galvanized Requiring Replacement, or Unknown service lines. Every customer with a service line falling under these materials must be notified within 30 days of the submission. This requirement is of every public water system with these materials.
